AT&T Concrete Microwave Towers
The early concrete towers built by AT&T Long Lines in the years following World War II. They were built to support the new network of microwave relay stations developed for carrying increased telephone voice traffic as well as television network transmission. Concrete was used because steel was still in short supply after the war.
These towers were built in a variety of sizes and heights. This drawing shows the tower types and configurations.
