Springfield, Ohio
Site of the first relay point on the route between Dayton and Columbus, Ohio. This was a 4B concrete tower standing 159 feet tall. The tower was demolished in the fall of 2014 after spalling concrete frequently fell to the ground. The microwave route had been decommissioned by then, but the tower was still owned by AT&T and was used by Verizon as a cellular site. The cell site was moved across the street to a steel self-supporting tower before the concrete tower was demolished.
