At nearly 40 miles from Columbus, the path was among the longest in the AT&T Long Lines network, and despite the relatively high elevation, additional height was needed to make the higher frequency bands (TH, 6 GHz, and TJ, 11 GHz) reliable for the high capacity traffic they carried.
