Old transmitter building and garage

Prior to 1967, when the new combined studio/transmitter building was built at 600 West Cavanaugh, this building housed the WILS transmitters. The original transmitter was an RCA 1-T one kilowatt transmitter. When the 5 kW daytime array was built (and tower 4 was added), a Gates BC-5E was installed.
